Area plugin · built into wayBetter for X
Chat+
Messages and group chats.
Built into wayBetter for X 1.0.0: turn it on in Plugins, or pick a mode.
What it does
- Starred messagesAdds a star to every chat message. The list of starred messages opens any of them at the message, however old, and can start X's own reply to it. Kept on this computer only, in the app's X profile; not part of backups or sync yet.
- Find in conversationCtrl+Shift+F in a chat searches the messages X has loaded so far and jumps to each match. It can load older messages while it is open.
- Pinned chatsShows the chats you pin in a strip above X's chat list, each with your own label and color. X's list stays in its order.
- Person filter in group chatsIn a group chat, pick one person and everyone else's messages fade. One click or Esc brings them back.
- Keywords in chatsHighlights chat messages that contain your words and folds away messages that contain your muted words. A folded message opens on a click.
How to turn it on
- In the app, open wayBetter → Plugins and switch Chat+ on. Every feature has its own switch.
- Or pick a mode (Basic, Advanced, Power User) on the first start or in Settings. A mode is a starting point: every switch stays yours.
Nothing is downloaded: the code is part of the app, signed and updated with it.
